i wasn't meant for this life

i've spent a large part of my day

learning html and blogcode. 

so far my blog doesn't look much different, 

but i'm hoping that will change...

wish me luck! 

(or come help. actually, that would be much better!)

and coffee and tea and other nice things

whom i love so much.

exploring austin. 

we introduced my brother and johnny to whole

foods breakfast tacos and jo's on congress, neither

of which he'd had before. unbelievable as that is.

it got a little chilly so i spent most of today, 

visiting old austin haunts like the flagship

whole foods on lamar, jo's on congress, 

home slice, quack's, drinking coffee and

having good conversations.

it's too much to try to encapsulate the last 15 hours

into one succinct post. give me some time and i'm sure 

i'll be showing you tons of photos from the wedding 

today and the rehearsal dinner last night. 

we've had such a blast. but also, needing to sleep.

just another manic monday.

actually, no, a pretty nice day. 

i did some tutoring, helped a friend

pick out her wedding makeup (woohoo!),

and then i went back to hot yoga (so hard).

but i'm ready to be at thanksgiving.

this is thanksgiving last year:

we went camping in the mountains we have around here.

there was lots of coldness, drinking of apple cider, wearing of mittens and 

never taking them off, trying to get the dog to eat, looking around in wonder

at nature, taking pictures of ice crystals, hanging out in the heated "rest station"

(or that was just me) and eating of food that got cold once it touched your plate. 

i think i'd do it again.

weekend at our house

this weekend:

breakfast by jazz;

lunch at pure;

friends over;

slept in both days (gosh we sound lazy!);

new glasses from city issue.

outside, the weather is thinking about 

winter, but it hasn't gotten very cold (for long)

yet.

dinner guests from athens

came over for butternut squash risotto

and brought pumpkin pie. (yay for fall food!)

but so sad i didn't get a picture with/of them!

how can that be? i must have been too busy
